I agree that a child should learn the value of things. Just being given something, especially something like a car ...teaches them nothing. They grow up thinking that the world owes them, and can become spoiled...IMO.

So, No...I won't just up and give my child the money to purchase a car. She will need to learn how to save her money and buy it herself.

I don't think I'm wrong in this thinking.

Hello Sassy...thanks for showing me this spot. Seems like a real decent bunch. I just had a visit with my child, as you know. She and Roger, her newest Bow. Anyways...visit went good. I have discussed the car thing with her, and have agreed to contribute my help. She is a good child, and very smart. She understands my position, and my opinion on this...and together, with a bit of help, I agreed to "help" ...not "give" ...seems like we compromised quite affectively on this one. ~I'm happy~

Not so much though happy with the latest news. She tells me her father, my x-husband eloped with his newest woman. The one that he cheated on me with. Apparently right after marriage this woman took it on herself to try and weasle in as my child's new mommy. This is not cool. I did good though, stayed calm, didn't react with anger...and I was very frankly taken by surprise. BUT...I am handling this situation with maturity.

My child has informed me that after marriage the x's new woman turned into instant witch. I gott'a admit that it made me feel a little better about myself.

Hello Elkhorn. Not many tourists venture this far north. I live in Cattle Country. Mennonites, and farming mostly. Dairy, Corn, and Wheat. Anyways...tourists don't venture here. We're a very small valley. Very tiny.

That was why I came to posting boards. Sometimes I feel lonely, and wish for friendships that this place can't offer me. Formosa. It's small, but charming. It's a valley. At one end is a brewery, and the other is a very old, very nice RC church. Here is a photo. Can't recall now if I posted it here already...so here goes again.

Sorry that I can't post pictures of Mennonites on their horses and buggies. They believe that it will take away their souls...very religious and old-school here in their idealisms. That's okay. This is a horse and buggy picture of one that my mother made. For weddings and special events. She is very talented also.
