They didn't say so, but I interpret this to mean U.S. military troops.
Before Bush began the War in Iraq, we were told it would be financed with Iraqi oil money, and that we'd only have to pay ~$60 $Billion.
Well we've already spent ten times that much, and it looks like we're about to have signed into law another funding bill that will cover the U.S. war / occupation expenses significantly into the next U.S. Presidential administration.
But:
The Iraqi government is already awash in oil revenue money.
Why are we passing more spending bills to over-pay for this War, when:
a) it was not the plan to do so in the first place, and
b) the Iraqi government has more money than they can spend, and there's lots, lots more on the weigh?
Bush was right.
Petreus was right.
The "surge" worked.
It's so stable in Iraq now there's a scramble of oil companies flooding in there to contract their way into the oil gushing from there.
Isn't it time we move at least a brigade from Iraq to Afghanistan, where our commanders have been pleading for them?
Who's driving the boat?
Anybody?
Where's the sense of urgency?
