Yet the Speaker of the House, Representative Nancy Pelosi has said neither Bush nor Cheney will be impeached.
If they were impeached, it seems they could arrange to grant themselves Presidential pardon, and thus escape punishment.
But:
If legal trial for either or both of these men is postponed until after they've left executive branch office, they'll no longer be able to escape punishment after conviction.
Is that what Pelosi has in mind? Delay the legal trial of Bush, & perhaps Cheney and others, until they're out of office, so that they may be punished, perhaps punished severely for their crimes?
If so, do you support this delay, for that purpose?
Which charges do you think are serious enough to earn them both a legitimate conviction on, and a stiff penalty?
Or do you think no charges should be brought against them?
