Thanks, Max, for showing me an example of how I should live. I'm going to try to learn from you and live up to your manners and grace. Rest in peace, and God bless you.

My classmate and friend was killed in a subway accident recently. He was 21 years old. Despite having physical disabilities that prevented him from talking
normally - he used an interpreter or an electronic notepad to speak - he was active (and very successful!) on the debate team and always had something
insightful, and usually wickedly funny, to add our discussions. I'm cursing myself for not furthering our friendship - I learned a lot from him in class,
on our short walks, and just by seeing him around campus. He always was a gentleman and a good guy. I'm deeply grieved and disturbed by his passing, but
I'm also impressed by and proud for the way he lived.

"The symmetry of form attainable in pure fiction cannot so readily be achieved in a narration essentially having less to do with fable than with fact. Truth uncompromisingly told will always have its ragged edges; hence the conclusion of such a narration is apt to be less finished than an architectual finial." -Herman Melville

Cass,
I never met him. But I too have learned that some of those that affect us most are those we didn't seem to sufficiently appreciate, until they were gone. |

So sorry Cass. He was so young too. Your tribute to him said so much and make all of us think about how we want to live our lifes'.
He will remain in your mind, and you will be reminded more of him in the things you do. He has made a wonderful impact on you and this in its' self is more than an honer for him. I love and care about you so the circle continues. grace |

Sorry for your loss also Cass.
Odd how people enter our lives and exit. Haven't figured out the rhymn/reason/scheme of it but often we are the better for them touching our lives. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away... |

Seems like he was a strong and uplifting type of person, the kind that achieves all that his talents alows him, and that not only develops his full potential,
but inspires others to do so. Rest in peace, Max. Amd my sincere condoleances, Cass.

Oh Cass, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. I guess his job was done on this earth. I know that is not very comforting because it was said to
me when my brother died. He died 4 years ago, and, I still grieve the loss.
