I do like the fact that the move to Yuku means I can travel to this place and the yuku boards I'm involved with without having two separate profiles open.
With time, I've grown more comfortable with the Yuku format as well. And here, I have an avatar.

Prop, does this mean that you look like Antonio Banderas in real life? Ooh-la-la!

Congratulations on your successful transition to the Yuku platform from Vincent
and Morticia's Speakeasy. We've a couple of fine members in common. I wish we could have a webring so it would be eay to click back and forth. As
was, I used to hunt up posts from Sear and Errol Grey, then click on either of their profiles to find my way here.
One thing neat about Yuku is all the options you'll have to create snazzy profiles. :D |

I didn't even notice the difference! Is that good or bad?
John PS, Welcome to Yuku, You're stuck with it, so get used to it. It's quite good once you do. Your text is tiny, so maybe your administrator(s) might want to change the default.

I'm told I look more like Russel Crowe...

Hi John! It's good to see you. It does look the same, doesn't it? That's a good thing.
You're not the first person who has mentioned the text size. It looks just like the font size at TRT ezboard to me. Could it be an individual screen resolution thing?

I figured out how to make the Round Table part of my personal webring on Yuku: I'll place it as one of my "Favorite Sites" on my Profile page.
I'm going to do it now. One thing I've noticed in surfing around various forums is that people on The Round Table are friendlier. Some boards just
ignore newbies.

Some boards just ignore newbiesThat's their business, of course, but they are SO missing out. At TRT, all new posters (well, excluding spammers) are happily greeted and welcomed. How else do you make new friends? "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other is gold."

So, y'all are keeping the EZBoard design 'skin'? I've been looking at the ones Yuku offers and 'previewing' them. I haven't seen
any designs which look mellow. I'm afraid of applying one of the Yuku skins and losing what we already have.

MA7,
I'm not sure what you have in mind. But I've discovered that there's a way to preview the skins offered by Yuku. AND If you click on the demonstrated skin, you can surf your own board, any forum you want, and function in that skin locally, leaving the view others get of it unchanged. If none of that is acceptable, you can open an entire new Yuku site. I did that, and we run tests there, when we don't want to risk ringing a bell that can't be unrung. The great thing about problems is, they have solutions. |

Oh, yes, I know how to preview. Never thought to start a test board. I agree about how the bell can't be unrung. Yuku doesn't yet offer any really
great skins. They have a preponderance towards cold tones, yucky pinks and greys and the darker skins are too dark. ICK!

I have to admit that I love the name MORTICIA ADAMS. MMMM, I like it too. I don't know it you have seen her
board, but it too reflects the Adams family. She is indeed a nice lady too. It seems I can't get to any boards.
RL is keeping me fairly busy. Maybe soon I'll get around to them all more often. Thanks about the Web Ring Morticia. Oh Six |
