The door to your place was always opened so that all could feel at home. You always spoke your mind with an honesty and candor only genuine, compassionate human beings are capable of. You taught the people around you the value of a bond, welcomed people in an ever growing family, and made everyone feel unique.
And you were so unique.
You lived a life of strong convictions, happy with the smaller things in life, the tiniest gestures, because yours was a bigger heart than most.
You faced adversity and suffering with both courage and serenity.
And you allowed those close to you to accompany you as you took a final breath, for you were never ashamed of who you are or afraid to appear vulnerable, in the same manner you allowed those around you to be vulnerable and seek comfort in your words, your ability to listen, or as you liked it best, in your arms.
