It took my 3 months to end her torment and we we put her down on July 27, 2007. I had done all me grieving beforehand and it was the most peaceful experience of my life. My brother-in-law is a vet and came to the house and we had a beautiful ceremony. I held her in my arms as she passed and felt so at peace. I knew I did the right thing as she was suffering.

Now here is the really weird part. Two weeks later I took the bird in for a wing trim. There sitting in the same cage as the previous cat was an identical cat to my 20 year old. He had been in there for 6 months and was 2 years old. He is a lover! I had to do it. The 2 of them took a while to adjust, but they are best buds although the female can get bitchy. The male just jusn't give a flying leap.

Bottom line love a Georgie all the love while you have the time.
