My next door neighbor is a militant atheist (as distinct from an agnostic). She'd like that, and I may end up e-mailing it to her.
Pick any god other than your own (Odin, Zeus, Mithra, whoever)Name three reasons that god doesn't existApply them to your own god.

OK. The "good book" may not be printed in Heaven. BUT !! it is "divinely inspired". Sear
Like that Sear, a good old way of when all else fails to "inspire" call on an invisible being to help, "and now dearly beloved, we see the Sun rise we know it's there even behind those dark clouds so Brothers and Sister, when in doubt take your Sunglasses and a Rain coat and be prepared. I have books, several copies of the "Good Book" and a copy of the Koran, which when (not long now) I reach the age where I am going to sit more times then stand I have promised myself a good read. Plus a book which states in Life you meet with 5 persons which later you will met again in Heaven. Not sure that a reunion will take place, but I have so far met 3 (possibly 4) who I would like to meet again and say thanks for helping me on my way.

A cowboy appeared before St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.
'Have you ever done anything of sufficient merit to warrant entrance?' St. Peter asked.
'Well, I can think of one thing,' the cowboy offered.
'On a trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota, I came upon a gang of bikers,
who were threatening a young woman. I directed them to leave her alone,
but they wouldn't listen. So, I approached the largest and most tattooed biker
and smacked him in the face, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nipple ring,
throwing it on the ground. I yelled, 'Now, back off or I'll kick the %%*! out of all of you!'
St. Peter was impressed, 'When did this happen?'

It was my wife's 72 birthday yesterday, and I got to stay sober and drive her round to different venues. OK so during the "drive round" and after arriving home and relaxing I began to think about this interesting discussion. I then came to a point where sudden as in sort of flash, I wondered the following. First we must put ourselves into a situation where we no squat, nothing, about the Universe and what keeps the Sun rising and setting. In the dark we can with a little help image anything including monsters and Devils and what we call Saints. Now we Human beings did not arrive yesterday on this planet Earth, we "evolved" we developed. So while all this is happening our Brains are also storing useful information which may at a later date become "unused or not necessary". But it's still there and in a moment of panic or drinking of the forbidden wines, start to think or react.
So we start to wonder what made us and why and then the Brain starts to try and find answers, and the process develops and starts to question and find answers. At this time we answer most of the questions by looking at books and other ways of gaining information but then back in those dark days of discovering we could be forgiven in making up answers. Someone close dies and we want to think they are not going just rotting away but will be going to a better place, and so we develop a sort code as to answering these questions and someone with a Brian starts to write "And in the beginning the Earth was void of light etc, etc". To those without the benefit of a thinking Brian the answer sounds good and settling, they no longer have to worry about the "bumps in the night" because the answers are there. So Religion and belief start to flourish, and it continues because to deny and question is to those that believe not only sacrilege but would open up to many question which would start to question what we are. .

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift.
Today is a gift. That's why they call it the present.
