Officers lay flowers at spot where two police dogs were left to die in handler's car on hottest day of year
The RSPCA is investigating after two police dogs died when they were left in a dog handler's car during the heatwave. The German shepherds were found in the car at the headquarters of Nottinghamshire Police yesterday. |

No, there's no excuse. You can't leave dogs in closed up cars during hot weather. Anybody who doesn't know that is either abysmally stupid,
deliberately cruel or lives and stays in Bubbleville where there's no outside news and where the entire town is climate controlled. If s/he doesn't
know why, I suggest an object lesson involving the aforementioned ignoramus in a locked car on a hot summer day with the windows rolled up and no water for,
say, 30 to 45 minutes.
People also need to make sure their pets and livestock have plenty of fresh, clean drinking water and a place to escape from the heat when they're outside. It's AnimalCare 101. Mac

It says the dogs were left "in handler's car" doesn't that suggest the one that left the dogs like that was the "handler"? And if so, shouldn't the "handler" be licensed? And if so, shouldn't that "handler"'s license be revoked? And shouldn't that "handler" be fired? And charged in the death of the animals? [I should have followed the link ... too slow] |

They want to do something meaningful? Lay the handlers testicles at the site. Along side a copy of an indictment for animal cruelty. Place a plaque there with
the dogs and the handlers name on it. Suggestion for the plaque: On this site two fine police officers were murdered by ____________ _______________. They
trusted him with their lives.

You're just too compassionate. I figured just leaving their heads on pikes would make more sense. Donate the rest of their corpses to the dog pound. (a little Independence Day feast) |

Normally, a Police dog Handler, will have a very strong bond with their charge. Don't know what happened here, but it was a Tragedy. |
