I've used the public library's computers. And that's "free". And still I don't care enough to do so more than once or twice over the years. I appreciate the thought. But I haven't earned a steady paycheck since 1997. My income isn't even enough to tax. No worries. I'm delighted with my ISP. "my imaginary friend is unique" LV So are mine! Of course, as he is all powerful I suppose he could make himself smaller but he's also all knowing and would not allow himself to be flushed away. My imaginary friend is bigger and better than your imaginary friend as they say

You're right about that last part LV. Gick had the personality and interests of a 5 year old boy.
If I had an imaginary friend now, she'd be named Levonia, and would drive a Jaguar hybrid. But Jaguar doesn't make a hybrid. So I guess I'll just play Freecell. |

I had WildBlue for 2+years and it offered uploads (256 or 384) I think without a phone line needed at all. When Roadrunner and digital cable came to the sticks
I signed up for it.

ER,
I've heard of high speed Internet access via the power grid. I can't imagine how it would work though. The signal would have to get through the transformer, etc. But if I could get fiberoptic speed at dial-up prices, I'd go for it. |
