News reports I have heard this morning say that the USA has probably militarily invaded and bombed Pakistan.

I've been listening to the radio for the past 90 minutes.
No news of it so far. But I have heard the U.S. is considering upgrading Pakistani F-16 fighter aircraft, or something like that. |

I doubt we need to Invade Pakistan, given we use Pakistan as a base of operations for some of our Afghanistan manuevers.

The Pakistani air force is set to improve significantly over the coming years. The PAF is due to take delivery of the new JF-17 (a new multirole fighter
developed jointly with China) and the Chinese J-10 (similar to the US' F-16). As you know, the PAF will also be upgrading it's F-16s.

This applies to most media outlets and many news sources, too. Overall Wiki provides a lot of useful information, links, etc. as long as one is aware that there could be problems with it. |

....BTW, I think more worry should be directed towards Iran, who has just escalated tensions by installing a new spy post in disputed waters near Basra. They
have also relocated their 3 Type 877 subs in the Strait of Hormuz. Looks like more hostage taking is afoot........

I'm just wondering, since I seem to have heard tell that the U.S. military has claimed at least once that no civilians have been harmed by our laser-eyed, super-surgical bombing of insurgents...and I have to admit, I'm amazed at the implication that the technology has advanced to where our devices can tell the difference between insurgents and wedding celebrants... but we nevertheless regret it if any have, which simultaneously suggests no such innovation. Cool! We're covered either way. No need to lose any sleep over convenient "kill them all and let God sort them out" conundrums. I feel soooo much better. Mac

........Just like I'm sure not all "Wedding Partys"or such are above board. But then I've never heard the military claim they only hit the
enemy either. Accidents will happen. But for the record, targeting systems on western weapons are increasingly multiple spectrum guided. Hit rates are now
entering the mid ninety percent on most of them. Which has led to reducing explosive charges needed. So yes we do tend to mitigate collateral damage as a
matter of course....
