I don't use Netscape.....but, I do use their site as my Homepage. Wow, what a vast improvement they've made to it in the last week.

I'm so embarrassed. "Here ya go Sear" Free For some reason I was thinking a "home page" was a personalized web site, tailored to one person. So if I was a big hang glider enthusiast, I could have: sear.com and plaster my site with pictures of hang gliders, and hang gliding sites (with launching and landing zones). I didn't understand that it meant a browser's default address. Please forgive me. My post probably didn't make much sense. But thanks. It's a good way to get the S&P 500 quote. I've bookmarked it. And Free, here's one you might like to check out. http://news.google.com/nwshp?tab=wn I use this for Google searches a lot. First of all, sometimes what I'm looking for is already right on this page. Second, it's the only search engine I know that offers the option of searching news, or searching Internet sites. That's very useful. |

Netscape also developed JavaScript. Here is a sample of JavaScript
in action ( to see the source code, select "View Source" or "View Page Source" in the browser pulldown menu ).

I have never used Netscape. My wife has it loaded on her PC, but I don't recall seeing her use it for at least a couple of years, so it's probably far
out of date.
