Ann we shouldn't ever have to guess an age if we are all one age. Lets leave it that way. Everyone knows it rude (or death) to ask a ladies age or hint they may be old or older. I imagine the reason age would bother anyone is because they feel the...

I do that also, Grace. Anybody between 30 and 60 is the same age as I am. Those 30 year olds might not appreciate that! But I'm really not very good at guessing ages.

During the years that aew jr was in school and I was still staying at home, my closest friend was a neighbor woman...

I dislike this thing called age! In my opinion when we can all discuss and be civil, I call it 'One Age' I have a friend who is a few years younger than me and we are extremely good friends. At times it bothers me that I am older, then when it is not obvious I get over it.

I was born before '55, so I suppose I don't have an out, but my father is a veteran of Korea, and not WWII. He was in the rear areas - motor pool/maintenance - but he did have one close call. A jacked-up truck started to collapse, pinning him underneath. A quick-thinking young korean lad, who often hung around and helped out, grabbed another jack and got it under the truck, raising it back...

Well I just found a very plausable length for a generation. It is the average span of time, variuosly computed and varying according to cultural and other conditions between the birth of parents and that of their children. So, you take the average (more or less) age at which those Americans born in '45 would have children. Roughly 18 to 20. Everyone born in that period would be considered of the same...

I don't have thinning (or missing) hair on my head, so I haven't had to test the resolution, but I always said I wouldn't do anything about it if I did go bald. I do not do anything to cover up or color the gray that's steadily taking over, though.

I have male co-workers who color their hair, but I really doubt if anyone is fooled.

I don't agree with the usual definition of a baby boomer (born post-WWII between 1946 and the early 60's). That's too long of a time period for a true baby boom that occurred because of men coming home from one war. Now, if we include the Korean War, that would be different. Ann

I'd heard the story myself a couple of times, and it was presented as a fact, but I think all it said was that the drop in water pressure was observed, not that any damage was ascribed to it.
