What would you choose : breathe some nerve/mustard gas or have your legs or arms blown off? I think they are both as painful; at least there are antidotes against the gases : wear gas mask/suit and take a pill.

I don't see any different from a mustard/nerve gas bomb and a 5,000 pounds explosive bomb - they both can kill a lot of people; so why one is considered illegal and one legal.

What if he decided to torture the people to death individually? Some by rack, some by water boarding, some by starvation, etc.? Torture is considered outside the bounds of normal warfare and is prohibited by the Geneva convention. Mustard gas is such a horrible, painful, slow...

Bin Laden is not responsible for the extra security around our nations, or for a thing such as the Patriot Act. We're responsible for how we react to events. In the days after 9/11 we were full of self-aggrandizing talk about how it would be allowing the terrorists to win if we changed our lifestyle in any way. So much for that particular bombast.

....You really need a fourth button. "Impossible to know" Al Queda and it affliate operate in dozens of countries. Further most tolls and reports are impossible to verify. I'd say they are both doing a smash up job( sarcasm cascading off the table and pooling rapidly)

Could Saddam Hussein cause over 4,100 American deaths with his WMD? Even if he had those nerve gas, how could he kill over 4,100 Americans?? Those explosive bombs that Hussein was allowed to own could also killed a lot of Americans, but how can he reach America from half-a-globe away?
